The Ancestral Trails Hiking Series: A 9-Week Journey of Yoga, History, and Landscape
What can we learn from the land beneath our feet?
Join us this autumn as the leaves turn for an immersive 9-week outdoor journey across Central Massachusetts. This series uniquely combines grounding outdoor yoga, mindful movement, and deep, honest reflection on the historical significance of the land we explore.
In yoga, we are called to practice Satya (truthfulness) and Ahimsa (non-harming and active healing). Off the mat, these principles guide us to look truthfully at our local history—acknowledging historical harm, honoring ancestral journeys, and respecting the Indigenous stewards who cared for these ecosystems for thousands of years long before European settlement.
Together, we will move, breathe, listen, and honor the ground we walk on.
